Stephan “Wonderboy” Thompson and Tryon Woodley’s co-main event UFC 205 bout was almost unarguably an exhilarating display of skill and precision. That being said, everyone does not seem to agree that the judges were so precise at the event.
The final score of the two fighters’ fourth round is intensely debated within the community. A score of 10-9 in Tyron Woodley’s favor was the final decision, but 10-8 is becoming the popular opinion of many observers. But, Stephan Thompson has decided to add his two cents into the proverbial pile.
In an interview with MMA Fighting, Thompson noted, “I’m willing to admit round four was 10-8. For me, it was [me winning] round two, round three, and round five. A draw was fair.”
UFC welterweight Stephan Thompson and Tyron Woodley are set to fight again at UFC 209 in Las Vegas, Nevada on March, 4, 2017.
