Anderson Silva Says Conor McGregor Is Now The Greatest

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva says UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is the best fighter in the UFC.

“Conor is the best now,” Silva said while talking about a potential boxing match between McGregor and Floyd “Money” Mayweather. “Conor have good conditions for talking about this fight. I think Conor broke the records. Broke everything. This is a new challenge for Conor. It’s different sports. This is no simple guy. Mayweather is no simple guy. He’s no MMA guy.”

Silva was once regarded as the greatest fighter in the UFC. He holds the UFC record for most consecutive title fights in UFC history with 10. This achievement has lead to many people claiming Silva is the greatest MMA fighter of all time.

Silva is scheduled to fight Derek Brunson in the co-main event of UFC 208 on Feb. 11 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm will fight Germaine de Randamie in the main event to crown the inaugural UFC women’s featherweight champion.
