Former Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary showed everyone in Ireland’s SSE Arena last Friday that he is back to form and ready to take back his title. That in mind, the former champion may have shown the local crowd a little more than he had initially planned.
After losing the belt to Phil Davis at Bellator 163, McGeary was set to face Brett McDermott in the main event of Bellator 173 last Friday. The former champion snared a second round TKO victory over “The Spartan.” After proliferating a nasty cut above the eye of McDermott, the ringside physician decided to call it quits 1:06 into the second round.
While this was an impressive victory for McGeary’s hopeful return to the title, the bout may not do so well for his social media presence.
Furys Fight Picks recently posted an awkwerd photo to Twitter, claiming the former champion may have had a tiny accident during the bout.

While the champion may have allegedly had an accident in the cage, he definitely had a victory at the end of the night.
