Ever since long time UFC commentator Mike Goldberg was released from the promotion after UFC 207, it has been speculated that the veteran commentator would be making his way to Bellator. Well, the answer is still in the air.
Though Bellator president Scott Coker has now admitted to an interest in seeing the color commentator make his way cage side.
In a recent interview with The Mac Life, Coker said:
“We have been talking but I feel like we have got a great team. Sean (Grande) and Jimmy [Smith] do a great job, so we’ll see what happens. We have talked. We have a great team — and that’s the hard part. If we were starting all over, you know? Starting from scratch? Then maybe we could have more flexibility but we’re trying to see if we can fit him in and get something going but it’s not imminent and like I said, we have a great team.”
It would appear that anyone hoping to see Golberg cage side at Bellator should probably not hold their breath, though don’t count out “Goldie” just yet.
