UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will once again attempt to defeat one of the scariest hitters in MMA history when he defends his title against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson on April 8th at UFC 210.
The two of them initially fought back in May of 2015, at UFC 187, where D.C. was able to weather the early storm and ultimately submit Johnson in the third round via rear naked choke. They were expected to be part of the December UFC 207 card as well, but Cormier was forced to withdraw with an injury.
“Rumble” plans on having a much different fight this time around, but the champion is as confident as ever. In fact, during their last interview together, Cormier wouldn’t even let Johnson sit down in his chair.
Check out what D.C. had to say about it earlier on his social media.
“During our last interview I decided @anthony_rumble didn’t get a chair. He needed to stand. I’m the champ I make the rules lol. @ufc 210 tickets going fast get em now. #buffalo #andstill”
