UFC President Dana White was impressed with Jorge Masvidal’s performance on Saturday.
In the co-main event of Saturday’s UFC on FOX event, Masvidal defeated Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in Cerrone’s hometown of Denver, Colorado.
Masvidal defeated Cerrone by TKO in the second round of their fight. Masvidal looked to have finished Cerrone by TKO at the end of the first round, but referee Herb Dean let the fight continue into a second round. Once the second round began, it didn’t take long for Masvidal to finish the fight.
During the post-fight press conference, White shared his views on Masvidal following the biggest win of his UFC career.
“Now Masvidal never pulls the trigger,” White said. “Incredibly, super talented. If he fought all the time, like he fights tonight, he’ll be a world champion.”
Masvidal is on a three-fight win streak. His other two recent wins came against Jake Ellenberger and Ross Pearson.
