After Conor McGregor knocked out Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 to become the lightweight and featherweight champion, talk surfaced of McGregor going up to welterweight to challenge champion Tyron Woodley, who was coming off a majority draw with Stephen Thompson earlier on the show.
McGregor is on a leave of absence as him and girlfriend, Dee Devlin are expecting their first child in May. Woodley will be defending the title in a rematch against Thompson at UFC 209 on March 4. Since we won’t see the fight in the foreseeable future, EA Sports: “UFC 2” brings the fight to you.
