Following Federal Courts Decision To Suspend Trump’s Travel Ban, Iran Opens Back Up Wrestling To U.S.A.

It has been a rough week for many, as President Trump has declared a travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries. In response to the President’s executive order, Iran opted to bar U.S. wrestlers from visiting the country for the freestyle world cup.

The ban has since been suspended by the federal courts and Iran has responded in kind.

Current Foreign Affairs Minister of Iran, Javad Zarif, posted a tweet in response to the refrain of the executive order.

“Following the court ruling suspending #MuslimBan and the requests from Iranian Wrestling Federation and FILA, US Wrestlers’ visa will be granted.”
