Germaine de Randamie Discusses Knocking Out Men Way Bigger Than Her

Germaine de Randamie is receiving little attention ahead of her UFC title fight against former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm at UFC 208.

Despite not being as well known as Holm, De Randamie confirms that she has the credentials to defeat the dominant boxer.

A lot of people don’t know my credentials in kickboxing,” De Randamie told MMAjunkie. “I’ve fought the best, the top of the top, the best female fighters in the world – in three weight divisions. I fought a man who had 40 pounds over me, and I knocked him out.”

De Randamie is on a two-fight win streak in the UFC. She is coming off TKO wins over Anna Elmose and Larissa Pacheco. De Randamie has a 3-1 UFC record. Her only loss in the promotion came against current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes. She also has a UFC win over women’s MMA pioneer Julie Kedzie.

“If we talk about credentials, I think I’m right where I want to be,” De Randamie said. “After Saturday, nobody will ever forget me again.”

On Saturday, De Randamie will fight in her first UFC main event when she fights Holm for the inaugural UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship. UFC 208 will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
