FOX Sports’ analyst Jay Glazer recently shared his thoughts on a potential boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
“I don’t know if it’s going to happen, but shoot, Conor has nothing to lose,” Glazer said. “If it does happen, why wouldn’t he, I would in two seconds. Conor, he’s got nothing to lose. He’s fighting a guy at a limited art that’s the best at what he does. He supposed to beat Conor McGregor, right? So if I’m Conor, I’m like, ‘yeah, shoot I’m up.’ Conor McGregor is that type of dude where if you told him right now he’s fighting the 10 baddest dudes in the NFL and the 10 baddest boxers of all time, he’s like, ‘I’m in.’ That’s what I love about Conor McGregor.”
Glazer says Mayweather would win a boxing match, but in an MMA fight, McGregor would win in 20 seconds.
“In a boxing match you have to look at Floyd, but behind the rib cage Conor has got something special,” Glazer said. “So never take anything away from him.”
