Two fighters were injured and not able to attend the UFC 208 post-fight press conference on Saturday night.
UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine de Randamie could not attend the press conference because she was immediately transported to a hospital.
In the main event of UFC 208, De Randamie defeated former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm to become the first ever UFC women’s 145-pound champion.
During her post-fight interview, with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, De Randamie revealed she needs to get surgery on her hand.
UFC lightweight Jim Miller was also transported to a hospital and was unable to attend the post-fight press conference.
Miller lost an exciting back-and-forth decision to Dustin Poirier, which was awarded “Fight of the Night” honors.
UFC 208 took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
