UFC middleweight Luke Rockhold is seemingly anxious to get back into the UFC fray, as he has been mending from an injury that docked him from fighting Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza at UFC Fight Night 101 last November.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour,” Rockhold explained who he is interested in fighting. To no surprise, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza’s name was first on the list.
“Jacare is saying I’m running. He wants to stay relevant. He wants to stay in the fight game. He’s not going to wait around, but he’s going to have to wait a long time, given my current situation. I would love to go in there and fix that situation and finish my business with that man.”
When asked how he thought the division was coming along during his absence, Rockhold said:
“I haven’t seen much movement in the division, truthfully. I think Bisping is a coward and he’s running, trying to look for a relevant fight. And, I think Jacare is right where he was.”
UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping is currently resting from an injury of his own, as he had knee surgery in the recent past.
