Could we be closer to seeing Nate Diaz in the boxing ring? If this photo is any indication, the answer is yes.
The man to hand lightweight champion Conor McGregor his first UFC loss at UFC 196 last March is getting his feet with former boxing champion Amir Khan at the latter’s World Class Boxing Gym in San Francisco.

Diaz stated in January that he’s looking to follow in the footsteps of McGregor and obtain boxing licenses in California and Nevada. On Friday, UFC president Dana White told USA Today Sports that he offered a fight to the former lightweight title challenger and the opponent is rumored to be former 155-pound champion Eddie Alvarez. The Stockton, CA native laughed off the reports. He’s stated he won’t fight unless he’s paid $20 million.
Khan last fought in May when he got knocked out in the sixth round by Canelo Alvarez in a middleweight title fight. It was rumored Khan would face welterweight champ and fellow Englishman Kell Brook but Khan wanted 70 percent of the money, so the fight didn’t come to fruition.
