The New York Athletic Commission has pulled another fighter off of a fight card on short notice due to medical reasons.
UFC heavyweight Luis Henrique was pulled from his upcoming fight against Marcin Tybura at UFC 208. According to Combate, the commission pulled Henrique due to him recently getting eye surgery to repair nearsightedness.
In November, the state of New York pulled former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans off of the first UFC card in New York City due to a preexisting medical condition shortly before the fight was supposed to take place.
The UFC has not announced whether or not they will find a replacement to fight Tybura on short notice.
UFC 208 will take place Feb. 11 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm will fight Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship in the main event. Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva will fight Derek Brunson in the co-main event.
