With a 12-0 professional record, it’s hard to imagine a better way to top off a fighter’s resume than with a championship belt. For ONE strawweight Yoshitaka Naito, this must have seemed like the logic conclusion. Unfortunately for former ONE strawweight champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, Naito is pretty good at coming to logical conclusions.

Yoshitaka Naito defeated Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke at ONE: Kingdom of Champions back on May 27, 2016 for the strawweight championship title. Winning by submission, the fight did not quite go the distance. Naito locked in a bout winning rear naked choke at 4:00 in the fourth round.

Winning by submisison has become a bit of a pattern for Naito, as he only has one KO on his record. With six victories by submission, one victory by KO and five wins that went the distance, Naito is often a patient and precise fighter.

Naito defended his belt against Jashua Pacio at ONE: State of Warriors on October 7, 2016, winning by near naked choke yet again.
