ONE featherweight Marat Gafurov is a dominant fighter. With a 15-0 professional record, he continues to put meaning to the word.
In November of 2016, “Cobra” Gafurov set another feather in his proverbial cap by unifying his interim featherweight title at ONE: Defending Honor.
“Cobra” unified his featherweight title by defeating former champion Jadamba Narantungalag with a submission victory in the first round. At 4:51 in the round, “Cobra” sunk in a rear-naked choke for the win.
Like some astoundingly odd phenomena, this made for Gafurov’s sixth win by rear naked choke in a row, also the ninth in his career. With a 15-0 record, perhaps there is no point in fixing what is not broken.
