On Wednesday, it was reported former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has agreed to terms with the UFC and a contract was close to being finalized.
A fight that was rumored last year for the Canadian was against middleweight champion, Michael Bisping for UFC 206 back in December. The fight didn’t materialize at the time and it felt like it wouldn’t occur.
Bisping stated earlier this week on “The MMA Hour” that he was told St-Pierre wants to fight him in his return bout.
According to SmackHisFace.com, Bisping has been sent a contract to face St-Pierre at UFC 211. The site also reports the sides have agreed to the fight and will be announced shortly.
MMA Imports hasn’t been able to confirm the report and will keep you up to date on the story.
