Good friend and training partner to lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor, UFC featherweight Artem Lobov was recently on an episode of Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour podcast.
In the interview, Lobov divulged what he really thinks of the potential cross-promotional bout with “Notorious” and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. It turns out that Lobov is pretty confident in his training partner.
“I just want to see it happen. If it happens, that will make me happy. Honestly, I would love to see it happen because there are more and more haters and I would just love for Conor to shut them up. He is so good at shutting them all up. He’s the best out there at doing that and I would love for him to do it on this occasion.” Lobov told Helwani.
“If I’m honest, and I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this, but I don’t see Mayweather making it past the six rounds.” Lobov said. “If it was Pacquiao, I don’t see Pacquiao making it past two rounds.”
Artem Lobov is set to face Cub Swanson at UFC Fight Night 108 in April.
