Last Saturday, UFC 208 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York was filled with emotion.
Both the main event and co-main event had their fair share of controversy.
In the co-main event, former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva won a unanimous decision against Derek Brunson. Both fighter’s faces were full of emotion after the scorecards were read.
Silva and his family were brought to tears following his first official UFC win since 2012.
Brunson was full of shock and anger after losing a fight he clearly thought he had won.
In the main event, Germaine de Randamie became the first ever UFC women’s featherweight champion when she won a decision against former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm.
De Randamie and her family were filled with joy and excitement one they found out she was the UFC champion.
Holm, her family, and camp were clearly disappointed following her close decision loss.
