Amateur MMA is meant as a way to gain experience and learn how to handle yourself competently in the cage for when you become pro. However, some young fighters try to get a bit too flashy and end up paying for it. This video above is exactly what happens when showboating goes wrong.
Amateur featherweight fighters Johan Segas and Joe Harding faced off at the British Challenge MMA 18 card in Colchester, England. When Harding thought it was time to showboat, Segas threw a monster head kick that ended the night for Segas.
Definitely a tough lesson to learn, but at least he’s still an amateur. Check it out!
