It’s been uneven in the career of Renan Barao since he lost the UFC bantamweight championship by fifth-round TKO to TJ Dillashaw at UFC 173 in May 2014. He defeated Mitch Gagnon at UFC Fight Night seven months later.
“The Baron” lost the rematch to Dillashaw by fourth-round TKO at UFC on Fox 16 in July 2015. Since then, Barao’s lost two of his last three wins, but is coming off a win over Phillipe Nover in September at UFC Fight Night 95.
It got worse as the black belt Brazilian Ji-Jitsu lost in the Abu Dhabi trials to Leozardo Noguiera.
