UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero is one of the scariest fighters in the UFC.
On Monday, Romero revealed he has a UFC hit list on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.
“After what happened with USADA, there were some people put on a list,” Romero’s translator said. “They know. They spoke. We don’t need to mention the names. They feel it. They know it in their heart. And I really wish, I really hope, that all those who spoke all that junk about me keep winning fights. Don’t lose any fights. So you can get at me. Please.”
In 2016, Romero served a brief six-month suspension from USADA due to testing positive for a banned substance. Romero claimed the failed test was due to tainted supplements.
Romero is unbeaten in the UFC, and as a middleweight, with eight victories. He is coming off a vicious knockout win over former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman in November. Six of Romero’s eight UFC fights have ended with a knockout or TKO. He has notable wins over Derek Brunson, Brad Tavares, Tim Kenney, Lyoto Machida, and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.
Romero’s dominance in the UFC has earned him a title shot at the UFC title. UFC President Dana White recently revealed Romero would be next to fight UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping. No date has been announced for the fight due to Bisping recently getting surgery. Bisping is expected to return in the spring.
