After mixed results in the UFC’s featherweight division, longtime UFC lightweight contender Clay Guida will return to the division that made him a star.
UFC officials announced Clay Guida’s return to lightweight against Eric Koch.
The promotion placed the bout on June’s UFC Fight Night 112 event, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Guida has defeated the likes of Anthony Pettis, Nate Diaz and Rafael dos Anjos as a lightweight, and he’ll look to pick up where he left off in the division against the always dangerous Eric Koch.
Koch was out of action nearly two years before retuning in May of 2016. The featherweight turned lightweight was once the division’s #1 contender and scheduled to face Jose Aldo. The upcoming bout will mark another 13 month layoff for the once promising UFC hopeful.
