UFC lightweight Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov has been under fire as of late. The undefeated No. 1 contender was unable to fight at last night’s UFC 209 co-main event, as he suffered serious weight management issues.

“The Eagle” was initially set to face Tony Ferguson in an interim lightweight championship match in the co-main event, before Nurmagomedov was under medical duress. The contender was even forced to miss the weigh-ins, as he was rushed to the hospital because of a sharp pain in his liver.

Within a video provided by The Fight Game, “The Eagle” can be seen with a plate of tiramisu leading up to the event. While the cake itself is not terribly barring of Nurmagomedov’s unfortunate incident, the video at least offers a bit of levity to the situation.

Having allegedly missed out on a $500 thousand fight purse, perhaps the lightweight contender could use a little levity.
