Joe Rogan is a commentating veteran. His first gig with the UFC goes back to the 12th ever event in the promotion. Even now, on the precipice of 50, the commentating veteran still finds passion for the sport.
In a recent episode of Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan went into some detail as to why he loves covering fights.
“There’s these moments, like when Darren Elkins beat Mirsad Bektic. It’s so hard for me not to cry inside the octagon. It was so hard.” Rogan explained with tears welling up in his eyes, describing the human spirit of Elkins as he came back from two lost rounds to finally finish Bektic. Rogan also thinks that if he loses that passion, it may be the end of his commentating career. “If it stops being that to me, I’m going to stop doing it.” Rogan said.
