It would seem that Mark Hunt has received some good news, in light of the events of UFC 209.
UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt has been struggling to come to terms with the UFC as of late. Following former champion Brock Lesnar’s failed drug test at UFC 200, in which Hunt lost to the former champion, Hunt filed a lawsuit against the UFC. The lawsuit has been filed for dismissal by the UFC lawyer team.
Following the suit, Hunt went on to face Alistair Overeem at UFC 209 on Saturday. Hunt was not terribly happy about that either, as he has accused Overeem of alleged PED use.
Well, Mark Hunt lost to Alistair Overeem via third round KO. To make matters more dire, he damaged his leg in the process.
Initially, Hunt took to Instagram to reassure his fans that everything is okay. He explained that the injury was “just a broken tibia.”
Following his post, MMA Fighting has come out to admit that Hunt’s leg may not be totally busted after all.
MMA Fighting claims that internal sources close to Hunt’s fight camp admitted to them that Hunt’s leg is allegedly not broken or seriously injured after all.
While Mark Hunt lost to Lesnar at UFC 200, the fight was later overturned to a no contest, as Lesnar was responsible for a USADA drug violation.
