Fight Nights Global continues to bring in some of the biggest free agents in mixed martial arts as they have signed former Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight Rousimar Palhares to a new deal.
The same promotion that brought in Fedor Emelianenko and Fabio Maldonado for their heavyweight bout last year will host the return of Palhares to the welterweight division.
Palhares is currently coming off of a two fight losing streak, putting him at 18-8 in his professional career. The fighter is also coming off of a two year USADA suspension due to unsportsmanlike conduct in his bout with Jake Shields at WSOF 22 in 2015.
MMA Fighting has reported that Palhares’s opponent has not yet been announced, but his Fight Nights Global debut is set for May.
