Dr. Audreylaura Boniface will be trading in her latex medical gloves for a pair of 4 oz. fight gear on March 11, as the ONE newcomer will be facing off at ONE Championship: Warrior Kingdom.
Dr. Boniface treats people within the Kota Kinabalu medical center, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Malaysia. She specializes in the high paced, hectic world of the Emergency and Trauma department. Yet, with her busy schedule as a medical professional, the warrior still finds time to create some scrapes and bruises of her own inside the cage.
In an interview with the ONE Championship promotion, Boniface explained that the high stress of her profession lead her to the interesting path of professional fighting.
“Coach AJ (Mansor) offered me a golden opportunity to become a professional fighter. I thought it would be fun and challenging. Without hesitating, I just said yes,” Boniface told ONE. “At that time, I was actually struggling with the stress in my workplace and wanted something to channel it the right way. I think I made the right decision!”
Dr. Boniface, turned Audreylaura “Ice Comet” Boniface, will go toe-to-toe with Rika Ishige at ONE Championship: Warrior Kingdom on March 11 inside the Bangkok Impact Arena.
