MMA veteran Brad Pickett took off his gloves today, as he fought for the last time in tonight’s UFC Fight Night: London.
Pickett’s final wish was to finish his career inside the wonderful London O2 Arena. His wish was jeopardized when initial opponent Henry Briones was pulled from the fight card.
Marlon Vera stepped up to the challenge in the final moments, assuring Pickett’s dream would be realized.
Unfortunately for Pickett, Vera landed a TKO victory over “One Punch.”
After the fight, Pickett offered a tear soaked conclusion to his epic journey in the sport in his post-fight interview. After speaking, the veteran placed his staple trilby hat in the octagon and left the career behind him.
