In Providence, Rhode Island a police detective was shot in the head with his own gun by an unrestrained suspect.
As reported by NBC News, in march of 2005, detective James Allen was killed by Esteban Carpio while he was questioning the man about the attack of an 84-year-old woman.
Carpio was later apprehended, though was left worse for ware. As noted by Trending Views, Carpio was left allegedly beaten by the police after his apprehension.
Carpio was sentenced to life in prison.
