Brazil hosted an epic MMA event over the weekend with UFC Fight Night 106 seeing UFC legend and former light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort face off against Kelvin Gastelum.
Belfort, however, suffered his third consecutive defeat inside the octagon against Gastelum. The UFC veteran lost in the very first round by way of TKO.
Gastelum rocked him early on in the round and Belfort never fully recovered. Seeing that Belfort was hurt, Gastelum applied the pressure and got the fight winning stoppage.
Belfort has since announced his plan for retirement from the sport, though he admitted that he made the plan prior to fighting Gastelum.
