For fighters, it can be tough to stay in touch with home. Moving from camp to camp, fight to fight, life on the road can be tough. Former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm seems to have found a way to keep in touch with her roots. Oddly enough, it involves PVC pipe, potatoes and explosions.
In a recent Instagram post, Holm published a video of herself loading and firing what is colloquially known as a “potato gun.” The PVC potato cannon is not safe, in the slightest. It is not recommended that you build or operate one, ever.
That being said, Holm spends the video explaining its construction and then firing the device, all under the caption “Living the country life in the city.”
Holm is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Inaugural featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208, putting her on a three fight losing streak.
The former bantamweight champion is looking for a rematch with Randamie, as their previous bout fell under some controversy.
