Japan’s mixed martial arts event known as DEEP JEWELS 16 goes down May 20. The event will feature an amateur fight with a 12-year-old girl by the name of MoMo.
As reported by wmmarankings.com, the girl will be making her amateur debut against a 24-year-old woman. Mixed martial artist Momoko Yamasaki will be fighting Momo in the only amateur bout of the event.
The bout features a 95 pound weight minimum and will not permit strikes to the head of a downed opponent. The competitors will also be wearing head gear for the bout.
Momoko Yamasaki is currently 2-3 in her career, currently coming off of a two fight losing streak. The 24-year-old will be facing a seventh grader on May 20.
