Following his second defeat to light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at last weekend’s UFC 210, KO artist Anthony “Rumble” Johnson announced his retirement from the sport.
With the No. 1 contender arguably at the pinnacle of his MMA career, the announcement left many heads spinning. Since then, speculation has begun to rise on what Johnson is moving on from the sport to accomplish. Most notably, it has been rumored that “Rumble” is leaving to play for the Las Angeles Rams football team.
Now, Johnson has come forward to squash those rumors. It looks like the KO artist isn’t moving on to play in the NFL after all.
“No you knuckleheads I’m not playing for the Rams…Are you crazy?!” Johnson posted to Facebook.
