If it wasn’t for bad luck, UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier would have none.
Set to headline the upcoming UFC 210 card in a rematch against Anthony Johnson, D.C. is now once again in MMA-limbo following a breaking development in the “Rumble” camp.
According to multiple sources, Johnson has officially been pulled from the UFC title fight for what’s being called a minor injury.
Unfortunately, with the belt on the line and unwilling to risk going 0-2 against D.C., Johnson will look to push off the title fight to July so that he can recover from the undisclosed injury.
Where does this leave D.C. and the UFC 210 main event?
UFC officials were not available for comment at the time of this publication. It is currently unknown if the promotion will seek a replacement or scrap Cormier from the card entirely.
Stay tuned.
