Last night hosted the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s latest big event. UFC Fight Night 108 took place inside the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. In the co-main event, featherweight Artem Lobov faced off against division contender Cub Swanson in an exhilarating brawl that would go the distance.
However, in the end, Artem Lobov was met with a unanimous decision loss. After five rounds of intense striking, the two mixed martial arts warriors set aside their bad blood and Cub Swanson left with the victory.
Artem Lobov is a member of the SBG Ireland camp and training partner to UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor. Following the unanimous decision loss of “The Russian Hammer,” Conor McGregor has decided to show his teammate some support over social media.
Over Instagram, Conor McGregor said “That was a great fight. Proud of my brother Artem! What a ride it’s been for the Russian Hammer. In a career filled with ups and downs he has never backed down from anything. Nothing but love and respect always my brother ❤.”
