Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman faced a bitter defeat to Gegard Mousasi at UFC 210 over the weekend.
After a series of knees to the head from his opponent, the referee put a stop to the fight. The official was under the impression that the strikes were illegal blows to the head. Later, the strikes were determined at legal blows, putting Weidman at dissatisfying loss. The fight has since drawn in a pool of controversy among fighters and fans.
But, recently released corner camera footage from the event shows the former champion being asked the day of the week. Weidman was unsure of the answer, showing that the fighter may have been more damaged by the strikes than initially believed.
