Former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones is nearing the end of his year long suspension from the promotion. With the former champion’s suspension nearly over, Daniel Cormier is looking to put a definitive end to his rivalry with the light heavyweight star.

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is fresh off of a successful title defense rematch main event against challenger Anthony “Rumle” Johnson at UFC 210. Now, the champion is setting his sights to former champion and rival Jon Jones.

In a recent interview with UFC on FOX, Cormier explained that he is willing to fight whoever comes next. However, the champion has unfinished business with Jon Jones.

“I’ll fight whoever. But the thing is about Jones, he’s the only guy that has beaten me. So as a competitor, I want to fight him. I just don’t know if he would want to fight me for his first fight after being off for so long.”
