Back in 2105, Michael Mardones “Layzie the Savage” went toe-to-toe with a larger opponent in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu match. While the match seemed to be going well at first, Mardones was eventually overcome by his larger opponent.
Once on the mat, Mardones was locked into a submission. The man attempted to escape, but there was simply no time. Before he could tap, “Layzie the Savage” was dealt a painful injury. With a sickening popping noise, the man’s arm broke in two.
The room was immediately filled with the sound of sucking teeth, as the observing gym members winced at the unfortunate outcome.
In the end, the much larger opponent defeated “Layzie the Savage,” but probably not in the fashion he was hoping.
