Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has gone to Instagram to share a picture featuring Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov. The No. 1 ranked lightweight contender appears to be breaking bread with the former champion.
In the featured image, Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov can be seen alongside Georges St-Pierre in a restaurant. “I had the great pleasure to bump into my friend @khabib_nurmagomedov at a restaurant in Moscow with @edy_chery and @yukinoriakazawa… What a coincidence!!!” St-Pierre said, alongside the image.
Georges St-Pierre is currently gearing up for a title fight match with middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping. While the two fighters are working out the details of their match, the title fight does not yet have an official date.
Georges St-Pierre has not competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in over three years. The former welterweight champion’s most recent match-up was against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in 2013.
