UFC middleweight contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza is coming off of a TKO loss to Robert Whittaker at UFC on FOX 24. Now, the fighter is facing a surgery.
As reported by Bloody Elbow, Souza will undergo surgery to repair a chest tendon that was damaged during the fight. The fighter’s doctor claims the surgery will require four to six months for recovery.
Prior to UFC on FOX 24, Souza was riding a two fight winning streak. The fighter locked in a submission victory over Tim Beotsch and a TKO victory over Vitor Belfort.
