The Ultimate Fighting Championship recently hosted a new event over the weekend. UFC Fight Night 108 went down on Saturday inside the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Cub Swanson took on Artem Lobov for a featherweight main event.
In a welterweight matchup, Jake Ellenberger went toe-to-toe with Mike “Platinum” Perry. However, things did not go in Ellenberger’s favor. After an intense first round, Ellenberger ended the second round unconscious on the mat.
In the second round, Mike “Platinum” Perry launched a stunning elbow to the head of Jake Ellenberger. The shot sent Ellenberger reeling to the mat, knockout out cold. Perry earned a knockout victory over his opponent.
Now, as reported by mmafighting.com, it would appear that Jake Ellenberger has received a lengthy suspension for his knockout loss. Following his stunning defeat, the fighter has been faced with a 60 day medical suspension for his injuries.
