Ultimate Fighting Championship color commentator Joe Rogan has had a storied career. The martial artist turned comedian, turned television show host, turned podcaster, turned UFC commentator has had a colorful career of experiences through the years.
Now nearing his 50th birthday, the commentating veteran has revealed that he even nearly had a fight with famous actor Wesley Snipes.
Wesley Snipes is perhaps best known for his starring role in the Blade movie series, but is also a martial artist in his own rite. The actor holds a black belt in Hapkido and Shotokan Karate. That being said, Joe Rogan is an experienced striker and black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
On a previous edition of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan revealed that a fight with the actor was almost a reality. “That was actually supposed to happen. That wasn’t just a rumor.” He said.
The commentating veteran then explained that he was enticed by the thought of fighting Snipes. With no experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Snipes was considered an easy target by Joe Rogan. For his full thoughts on the event, see the video below.
