Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones has been patiently waiting for his opportunity to come back to the octagon, and he just has to wait a couple more months. Jones is still serving a suspension handed down to him by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) stemming from his “UFC 200” drug test failure in 2016.
Every single opponent Jones has stepped into the octagon with, he has put them through the meat grinder. It doesn’t matter if it was Quinton “Rampage” Jackson or Daniel Cormier; Almost every fighter looked like he was in a different league while standing next to Jones. There’s only been one fighter who has pushed “Bones” to his limit in Alexander Gustafsson, but even Gus was banged up after the fight.
Jones took to social media to warn the entire light heavyweight division about his comeback to the octagon, claiming that he is actually more relevant than the entire light heavyweight weight class. “Can’t wait to get back and slap one of these light heavyweights, even on the sidelines I’m more relevant than anyone in that division.”
Who do you think Jones will step into the octagon with upon his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship? Should he get an immediate shot at the championship, or should he work his way up the rankings now that he is removed? Let us know in the comment section below!
