“Bones” is calling out Daniel Cormier for foul play at the UFC 210 weigh-ins.
UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier weighed a little heavy at the UFC 210 weigh-ins. The fighter approached the scale at 206.2 pounds. Minutes later, Cormier returned to the scale at 205 pounds flat.
Cormier’s use of a towel during the weigh-in has cultivated a bit of controversy among fans and fighters. Among them, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones has given his two cents on the subject.
In a recent press conference, as transcribed by MMA Fighting, Jones said:
“The crazy thing is that it was allowed to happen. I would imagine there has to be some type of commission or something to go back and see this blatant foul play and address it. Nobody addressed it. They just basically got away with one of the dirtiest things I’ve seen in sports.”
Daniel Cormier has given his side on the controversy as well. The champion brushes off the controversy with ease.
Cormier will be defending his belt from KO artist Anthony “Rumble” Johnson tonight within the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.
