Back in 2004, mixed martial artist Norifumi Yamamoto took on a kung fu martial artist Tony Valente. The fight took place at K-1 World MAX 2004 World Tournament Open, marking a dominant performance for Yamamoto.
Valente attempted to capitalize on his striking, but was quickly brought to the mat by hi opponent. From there, Yamamoto was simply in control. The fighter quickly reached his opponent’s back and sunk in a rear-naked choke for the victory.
