The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s latest event went down tonight, as Kansas City, Missouri held UFC on FOX 24. In the main event, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson sank in another successful title defense. This time the champion took out Wilson Reis.
In another exciting match-up, Robert Whittaker landed a TKO victory over No. 3 ranked middleweight contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza. With Souza having not having lossed by TKO or KO since 2008, the victory proved to be an exciting moment for Whittaker.
Now, former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has gone to Twitter to call out the winner. Rockhold wants to fight Robert Whittaker in July.
MMA journalist Ariel Helwani recently tweeted, “Former middleweight champion @LukeRockhold just reached out to me to say he’s down to fight Robert Whittaker at UFC 213 on July 8.”
