UFC on FOX 24 went down inside the Kansas City, Missouri Sprint Center last night. In the main event, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson presented a dominant performance over challenger Wilson Reis for his tenth title defense.
The champion has now overcome Georges St-Pierre’s record of second most title defenses in the promotion and has now tied Anderson Silva for the most defenses in the UFC’s history. The champion is now looking to break that record and solidify his status as G.O.A.T.
Following the record tying event, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson had a few things to say in the post-fight press conference. Among them, the champion is looking for a larger payday. He says he is a company guy.
When asked if his next fight will cross the $1 million threshold, Johnson responded that it better. “I’m a great company guy. I don’t bash my company. I don’t bash my opponents. (I’ve) never missed weight, never done any drugs. I’m not at home beating my wife, crashing my car, doing cocaine, all that stuff. I’m not asking for a lot.” He said.
