UFC Fight Night 108 went down with a bang. The intense Ultimate Fighting Championship event took place in the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. In the main event, Artem Lobov challenged featherweight Cub Swanson in an exhilarating five round performance.
In an exciting welterweight matchup, Mike “Platinum” Perry faced off against Jake Ellenberger. The fight did not go Ellenberger’s way, as “Platinum” Perry clocked him with a head strike in the second round. Perry shot off an elbow to the head of Ellenberger, sending the fighter careening to the mat.
Shortly after the bout, Mike Perry answered a few questions in a media scrum. During the time, Perry considered if he will be the first fighter to unintentionally kill an opponent inside the octagon.
“I don’t think I’m the guy that’s gonna be the first dude to kill somebody in the UFC. I think that I have clean knockouts, and with a clean knockout people go to sleep, but then they wake up, and he’ll heal up, he’ll be fine, you know what I mean? People do this. We get hit every day. I’ve seen bad knockouts before. If that were to happen, I always pray for my protection, their protection, but … I pray for victory, too, man. That’s how I win. That’s how I do it.” He said.
