Robert Whittaker Breaks Down Upset Win Over “Jacare” Souza

With the Ultimate Fighting Championships latest event now in the books, it’s time to look back at what went down. The Kansas City, Missouri Sprint Center held last night’s UFC on FOX 24 event. Headlining the show, Demetrious Johnson defended his flyweight belt from Wilson Reis.

Also on the main card, middleweight contenders Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Robert Whittaker went toe-to-toe inside the octagon. In an upset victory, Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker took home a second round TKO victory over his No. 3 ranked opponent.

Whittaker rocked Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza with a head kick, followed by a flurry of strikes. After pummeling his opponent into the mat, the referee called a stop to the performance and gave “The Reaper” his win.

In the post-fight interview, Robert Whittaker took a moment to break down the fight from his perspective. The fighter gave “Jacare” his props, discussed the strategy of the high kick and gave a shout out while he was at it. His post-fight interview can be viewed below.
